Urban Woof NYC was founded in 2005 by Silvia D’Elia and Marcos Santos, who began their journey as devoted dog walkers in Manhattan. What started as a genuine passion for animal care quickly evolved into a full-service pet care company. In 2018, we opened our first facility, followed by a second location in 2024.With nearly 20 years of experience caring for Manhattan’s most beloved pets, Urban Woof NYC offers premium dog walking, daycare, grooming, and boarding services all designed to give you peace of mind and your pup the royal treatment they deserve.

What services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive dog care services including dog walking, daycare, overnight boarding, and professional grooming.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off services?
Yes, we offer transportation services within our service area for an additional fee.
How do I make a reservation?
You can book any of our services through our website, mobile app, or by calling us directly. We recommend booking in advance, especially during holidays.
Do you accept puppies?
Yes, puppies are welcome! We require that they've received all core vaccinations appropriate for their age. We also offer gentle socialization for younger dogs.
What if my dog needs medication during their stay?
Our trained staff can administer most medications as prescribed. Please inform us of any medical needs during registration.
How do you ensure safety during daycare and boarding?
Our facility is monitored 24/7, and all play sessions are supervised by trained staff. We also conduct regular sanitation and follow strict health protocols.
What's included in a grooming appointment?
Our grooming services include a bath, blow-dry, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and breed-specific or custom styling. We also offer add-ons like teeth brushing and de-shedding treatments.
What is your dog walking schedule like?
We offer flexible walking time slots throughout the day, tailored to your dog's routine and energy level. Walks can be scheduled for 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
Are walks private or in groups?
We offer both solo and small group walks. Group walks are carefully matched based on temperament and pace, ensuring safety and fun for all dogs.
How do I know if my dog is suited for group walks?
During the initial consultation, we assess your dog's behavior and socialization skills to determine if group walks are a good fit. We prioritize safety, so only dogs with similar play styles are grouped together.
Is webcam access available?
Yes, webcam access is exclusively available to clients enrolled in our monthly dog daycare packages. As part of this elevated service, you'll enjoy the ability to check in on your pup throughout the day and see them enjoying their time in comfort and care.
Can I tour the facility before booking?
For the safety of our dogs and to maintain a calm, secure environment, we do not offer in-person tours inside the facility. However, we're happy to share videos and photos so you can see where your dog will be staying and playing.
Do you require vaccinations?
Yes, all dogs must be up-to-date on required vaccinations including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. We also recommend the canine influenza vaccine.
Can I book a one-time dog walk?
Unfortunately, we specialize in weekly dog walking services with a fixed schedule to provide consistent care. At this time, we don't offer one-time walks.
